Young Voices: Impacting the world through activism

How can young people use their voices to #BreakTheBias in the world around them?
In this workshop, you can meet the now famous, Icelandic group, Antirasistarnir and the Danish Founder of Nordic Women in STEM, Neha Imtiaz, who do just that.

Antirasistarnir and Neha are examples of young activists who have used their voices to create a change and #BreakTheBias in their local communities.
In this engaging workshop, you and your classmates will join in a conversation about discrimination and biases: how do they appear in the world? How do they impact our lives? What can we do to combat bias?

Neha Imtiaz will bring examples of coding and actual robots to the workshop and ask the question: “why is it so important for women to make their way into the field of STEM?” and why is the STEM field typically male-dominated?

Antirasistarnir travel around Iceland to teach Icelandic middle school and high school students about discrimination. They ask questions surrounding what issues female women of colour face in Iceland and what can you do to be antiracist in the Nordics, even by using Instagram as a tool in your fight?
